“Earth” without “art” would just be “eh”

I know… this saying is becoming trite but I like it anyway. All my life I have loved art. It seems I had a pencil or crayon in my hand ever since I was old enough to hold one. My first box of 64 Crayola Crayons thrilled me (you know, the one with the sharpener on the back). I once asked my mother if I ever drew stick figures. Her reply was ‘not unless specifically instructed to do so.’  As I grew older my friends would ask me to create faux magazine layouts with their vision of Barbie-esque fashion ensembles.

It has always been my goal to make my living with art. Somehow life intervened. So in 1998 I got back on track and started my career as a graphic designer, combining my love of the arts and computers. This career has been both personally and professionally satisfying. In short, I love what I do!

Where does the name 4C come from?

4C not only refers to the printing industry abbreviation for 4-color process, it is also homage to my son, Curtis, who left this world too soon at the age of 15. His death made me realize that whether you live to be 15 or 115 life is too short to do something you don’t enjoy. I feel I have a God-given talent and my goal is to honor my son and give glory to God by using those talents to the best of my ability.
